Donna Jarden

LifeCo Therapist Donna is a qualified counsellor affiliated with i2i Counselling. She completed her counselling training at Bethlehem Tertiary Institute, graduating with a Bachelor of Counselling with Distinction.

Donna has a strong passion for maternal mental health. She has supported women and whānau through the challenges of birth-related trauma and loss, drawing on her experience at the Bethlehem Birthing Centre and Pregnancy Choice.

Her areas of expertise include OCD, disordered eating, anxiety, abuse, and chronic illness. In private practice, Donna also provides clinical oversight to trainee counsellors. Additionally, she has supported group therapy sessions at St Peter’s House, working with women who have experienced familial harm.

Donna offers a warm, non-judgemental therapeutic approach, incorporating narrative therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), and person-centred modalities. She views counselling as a privileged journey—one of walking alongside clients as they move toward greater wellness and personal growth.

Her goal-oriented style helps clients develop practical tools for living well. She also applies structured behavioural interventions to support clients in reconnecting with their strengths and navigating life’s challenges.

Donna holds Provisional Professional Registration with the New Zealand Association of Counsellors (NZAC) and is accredited to work with ACC Sensitive Claims.
